Bright, lustrous olive-green Vesuvian crystals and dark brownish-red Hessonite crystals rest, interspersed in a rosette of Clinochlore. Originally, this piece was misidentified as Diopside, as visible on its label. This specimen is from the Schwarze Wand, in the Scharn range, Hollersbachtal, Oberpinzgau, Austria. The original label from the prominent alpine collector Rolf Wein is included.
